To Sell or Not to Sell?
There are a number of reasons why
people sell their wedding or engagement rings and
other jewellery, several of them are discussed below:
Financial Strain
The most common reason why people
sell their wedding ring, is mainly due to financial
stress. Your wedding or engagement ring can be quite
an expensive keepsake so keeping it my difficult to
justify, despite the obvious sentimental value.
Broken Engagement
If you are a victim of a broken
engagement, then you will most likely want to sell
your ring as soon as possible. This is a common way
to grieve the loss of the partnership.
Incorrect Design
It is common for couples to change
their mind about the ring, even prior to or during
an engagement or marriage. This could be due to the
size of the ring, design, colour and practicality.
If this is the case, then you will want to sell your
ring as soon as possible, to help finance a new or
different ring.
Out Grown
It is becoming more common for
couples to remove their wedding or engagement rings.
Often, rings can be placed in draws or in a safe place,
and even sometimes forgotten. If this is the case,
your sentimental attachment to your wedding or engagement
ring will be diminished, and the money may be more
important to you.
Never Worn
In some cases, you may have a wedding
or engagement ring that has never been worn. This
could be due to a change of wedding date, partner,
broken engagement, or some other unforeseen event.
If this is your situation, then you will most likely
want to convert your ring to cash.
